The reality

Merchants don’t consolidate payment providers. They accumulate them.

Every new market or payment method brings another acquirer, another report and another set of rules. Consolidation is a vendor pitch, not what the market does.

3–6+Core payment providersPayments advisory research shows most firms run three to five core providers, many six or more.
17Acquirers at one marketplaceOne mid-market online marketplace runs about 17 acquirers and more than 150 payment methods.
#1Most-cited frictionIn a payments industry panel poll, resolving incidents across providers was the top answer. Reconciliation was joint second.
1 ≠ 1One contract, many platformsEven a single provider often runs several platforms or resold services underneath. One contract doesn’t remove fragmentation.

The gap

Every vendor meets its own service level. You can still end up with a poor result.

When something breaks between providers, each one sends its own incident report. Nobody holds a single record across all of them, and nobody owns the outcome. Duxor gives you that record, with a named owner for every exception.

Proof, not promises

The exceptions that cost merchants money.

Each payment method handles chargebacks, refunds and reversals differently. These are the gaps that slip between providers, and how Duxor closes them.

Exception 1

Refunded, then charged back

A customer receives a refund from you and wins a chargeback from their bank. You have paid them twice.

Duxor: links the refund and the chargeback to the same original sale and flags the duplicate for recovery.

Exception 2

Reversed days after it looked settled

Some bank payments can be reversed days after they appear to clear, long after the goods have shipped.

Duxor: tracks the reversal against the original entry, so the ledger shows what is really settled.

Exception 3

Value released against an unsettled payment

Goods or credit are released against a payment that has not actually settled. When the payment fails, the loss is yours.

Duxor: applies your rules to flag any value released against a payment that has not settled.

The platform

Everything you need to keep complete, reconciled records.

Ledger

Append-only, double-entry records for every dollar your business tracks.

Record lifecycle

Track issuance, redemption, expiry, refunds, disputes and reversals from start to finish.

Reconciliation and settlement

Automatic matching against processor reports, with exceptions flagged for review.

Vouchers and rewards

Run merchant-funded vouchers, promotions and rewards, tracked from issue to redemption.

Rules and risk controls

Set program rules and risk thresholds once. Duxor enforces them as approved.

Dashboards and audit trails

Real-time visibility for your team and a complete trail for your accountant or auditor.

Also included: verified webhooks and event notifications, duplicate-safe record handling and one integration for all your providers.

Every new payment method

More methods, more reconciliation.

Customers stick with the way they like to pay, so merchants keep adding methods. Each new method changes how you reconcile, support customers and handle refunds, not just your checkout page. Duxor absorbs that change in one ledger.

67%of consumers use the same payment method for most purchases.
27%would abandon a purchase if their preferred method is missing.

What’s next

AI agents will buy for your customers. Every purchase will need proof.

Only 19% of consumers are comfortable letting AI complete a purchase, and 67% want to approve every purchase themselves. The core challenge is verifiable, recordable intent. An append-only, independent record is where that proof will live.

Our principles

Five rules built into the software.

Your books are only as good as the records behind them. Duxor enforces these rules in the engine itself, not in a policy document.

  • Append-only recordsEntries are never silently rewritten. Every correction is a new, traceable entry.
  • Double-entry by designEvery movement is a paired entry, so the books balance before anyone checks them.
  • A named owner for every exceptionNothing that fails to match is left in a shared inbox. Each exception is assigned and tracked to close.
  • Rules enforced as approvedMatching, approval and risk rules run exactly as your team signed them off. Every change is recorded.
  • Never holds fundsDuxor keeps the record. Your licensed payment providers carry the money.

  • What is a ledger record? One entry Duxor creates in your ledger, such as a sale, refund, settlement line or adjustment. Each record is priced the same, whatever its amount.
